Scan & Join
Operator scans the emergency enrollment QR code from the EOTAK dashboard. Beacon redeems the code and receives a short-lived session token.
Relay Position
Beacon sends GPS heartbeats at configurable intervals through the relay endpoint. Background location support keeps reporting alive even when the app isn't in focus.
Appear in TAK
Validated heartbeats are converted to CoT XML and posted into your TAK server. ATAK, iTAK, and TAK Aware clients see each Beacon operator as a live marker.
Background Location
EOTAK Beacon uses always-on background location to keep your position flowing into the TAK network even when the device is locked or you're using other apps. Configure update intervals to balance precision with battery life.
